If you are just starting out on the Internet, and would like to learn more about the services that are available, and how to use them, you might want to have a look at the (now rather dated) Roadmap to the Information Superhighway workshop, which was written by Patrick Crispen. Patrick has also written the updated Roadmap '96 and The Internet TOURBUS.
