The November issue of the Open Source Business Resource has just been
published and this issue is all about Support. From the announcement:

The November edition of the Open Source Business Resource is now
available in PDF and HTML formats at http://www.osbr.ca.

The November issue includes three articles from companies which
provide commercial support of open source software, a discussion of
support as a competitive action, and a review of the Scan project, a
project which is improving the quality of open source software.

Stormy Peters of OpenLogic discusses enterprise support requirements
and identifies the questions to ask your open source support provider.
SourceLabs examines the benefits and risks open source poses for firms
subject to the Basel II accords. Jason Cote and Julian Egelstaff of
FreeForm Solutions propose a method for meeting the unique support
needs of Not-for-Profit organizations. Glen McInnis of Non-linear
Creations describes the competitive actions carried out by open source
firms. David Maxwell of Coverity explores how the Scan project
identifies defects in open source code.

The November issue also contains a Conference Report on Open Education
2007 from Andrew Pullin, Kamal Hassin, and Monica Mora of Carleton
University.
