For the May meeting I am planning on demoing LumenVox speech recognition software for Asterisk. LumenVox has come out with a monthly subscription service of $8/month/port. -- Bill From athompso at athompso.net Fri Apr 9 13:05:31 2010 From: athompso at athompso.net (Adam Thompson) Date: Fri, 9 Apr 2010 13:05:31 -0500 Subject: [*] OT: Nortel Meridian One service in Winnipeg? Message-ID: <009901cad80f$3e98f0c0$bbcad240$@net> I know it isn't directly Asterisk-related, but does anyone know if there are any companies left (other than MTS) who can provide service and support for Nortel Meridian One PBXes in Winnipeg? Message-ID: <009d01cad812$23288730$69799590$@net> Looking to set up a small office (3 people to start, growing quickly to 6 or 7) with phone service. I'd prefer a VoIP system, and I'd prefer an Asterisk-based solution within that space. I don't need one phone per DN, but I do need one mailbox per DN, up to about 10 mailboxes in total. Ability to use analog instead of IP phones would be nice but not required. I intend to use a VoIP trunking provider, e.g. Les.net or similar. Fanless is almost mandatory - the system will have to run in an open office environment. So far I'm looking at the AastraLinkPro 160, TheVoipConnection's VS-1, Atcom IP-01... I thought this market segment had a whole bunch of vendors, but I'm not finding very many. Any recommendations? -Adam Thompson (204) 291-7950 From westmanbob at gmail.com Fri Apr 9 22:06:26 2010 From: westmanbob at gmail.com (Bob Pierce) Date: Fri, 9 Apr 2010 22:06:26 -0500 Subject: [*] Position at Westman Communications Group in Brandon Message-ID: Please see the attached posting for a Network Analyst position at Westman Communications Group in Brandon, MB Asterisk or other Telephony experience would be an asset. (i.e. no server required at all) can switch to run on any Asterisk platform to scale higher or add features at any time The server based product is called KONNECT Business Phones and migration is SW based.... Cheers, M (yes this is a shameless plug but it truly fits the market segment....)
